It’s been a busy and beautiful season here at Three Sheep—full of fiber, color, and community. Whether you knit, crochet, or weave, there’s always something happening in the shop (and on my needles and loom) to keep us all inspired.
Lately, I’ve been dividing my time between getting new yarns out on the shelves, prepping for upcoming retreats, and sneaking in some personal stitching time when I can. I recently finished knitting the Jijim Shawl for the Yarn Discovery Tour, and it was such a satisfying project. The way Urth’s Spiral Grain and 16 Fingering yarns worked together created such a beautiful drape and flow—truly a joy to knit. If you’ve been in to see it, I hope it’s inspired you to cast on your own!
The tour is now in full swing, and we’ve been loving the chance to meet new fiber friends and reconnect with familiar faces. We’re open with extended hours Tuesday through Sunday during the tour, so there’s still plenty of time to visit and get your passport stamped.
Over at the looms, there’s been plenty of weaving happening too. There’s a calming rhythm to the process that just quiets the noise of the day. Picking colors you love, seeing them come together, and watching the fabric grow is incredibly satisfying. And somehow—without fail—it always ends up looking great with what the weaver is wearing!
Behind the scenes, I’ve been hard at work preparing for our Fall Foliage Retreat at Salt Fork Lodge. It’s fully booked (thank you!), and I’ve been working away on the projects—keeping them top secret, of course, until our retreaters gather in October. Let’s just say… they’ll be worth the wait.
And while it’s still a bit down the road, we’re already thrilled about every part of our upcoming Alaskan Knitting Retreat in May 2026. The location, the plans, the projects—we can’t wait to share it all with you. It’s shaping up to be an unforgettable knitting adventure. Spots are open now, so be sure to click the link below if you’re thinking about joining us!
In the meantime, stop in and see what’s new—touch the yarn, check out the finished projects, and maybe start something new. Whether you're knitting, crocheting, weaving, or just stopping by for a little inspiration, there’s always something waiting for you here at Three Sheep.
