Celebrate Shetland Wool Week at Three Sheep!
We’re bringing the spirit of Shetland to our shop with a week full of woolly fun and community! While details are still coming together, we’re thrilled to share that Gudrun Johnston will be joining us to showcase her stunning knitted designs. We’ll host a knit-along using authentic Shetland wool, enjoy Tea an’ Tab Nabs (a taste of Shetland!), and offer special events throughout the week that celebrate Shetland’s rich woolly heritage.
It's time to cast on your Aal Ower Toorie, the official hat of Shetland Wool Week 2025! Kits and printed patterns are available now at the shop—stop by and pick yours up so you're ready to join in the fun.
During our Shetland Wool Week celebration, we’ll be sharing tips and inspiration drawn from the Shetland Islands—its rich knitting traditions, close-knit community, and the heritage of crofts and wool production. You'll also get a glimpse into the breathtaking beauty of the islands, where rugged landscapes and coastal vistas meet a rich history of craftsmanship. Join us as we explore the island’s stunning knitting culture and celebrate its timeless connection to wool!
We invite our customers to join us from October 1st to 4th for a special Shetland Wool Week celebration! Our table will be open to all yarn friends during the following times:
Wednesday, Thursday, Friday: 1–3 PM
Saturday: 11 AM–1 PM
Stop by to enjoy videos, stories, and photos from the Shetland Islands, along with a deeper look into Shetland Wool Week. Be sure to check out our website calendar to see what’s happening each day. It’s a wonderful opportunity to connect, share in the celebration, and learn more about the beauty, heritage, and craftsmanship of Shetland knitting and wool production. We can’t wait to see you there!
