Our First Far-Away Retreat: Alaska Bound with Musk Ox Magic!

It’s been an exhilarating journey planning our very first far-away retreat! While we’re not jetting off to Europe, Japan, or Peru this time, we’re heading to a truly wild and beautiful destination — Alaska, the Last Frontier. May 12-24, 2026

Debbie and I have been forging meaningful connections with local musk ox farmers, and we’re beyond excited to announce a very special project: knitting with 100% Qiviut yarn. For those new to Qiviut, it’s one of the world’s rarest and warmest natural fibers — softer than cashmere and incredibly lightweight, harvested from the undercoat of the musk ox. This luxurious yarn is not only beautiful but steeped in heritage and sustainable farming practices.

Our retreat itinerary is shaping up to be unforgettable, featuring unique stops on land where you can connect deeply with Alaskan culture and nature. To top it off, we’ll embark on a breathtaking seven-day intercoastal cruise, weaving adventure and relaxation into one seamless experience.

Spaces are very limited — we keep our trips intentionally small to create a truly personal, intimate retreat where everyone can share stories, skills, and inspiration. If you’ve been dreaming of combining your love of fiber arts with extraordinary travel, this is your chance!

Don’t wait — spots are filling fast. Click the link below to learn more and secure your place on this once-in-a-lifetime Alaskan retreat. We can’t wait to knit, explore, and create with you in the wild beauty of the Last Frontier!
