Karen Weinberg

Although I have been an artist my entire life, Ceramics was not a part of it until I started my teaching career. Once I was introduced to pottery, I was 'hooked.' I love the tactile connection to the materials...starting with 'fancy mud' and ending with a functional item. I am retired from a38 year teaching career, enabling me to pursue making pottery on my own time. I chose to make functional pottery because of the direct connection it has to the user. I love to hear the statement 'your pottery is my favorite piece to use'."
