"I was born having to make stuff. The embroidered pillowcase that I kept sewing to my pants and the knitted cord that came out through the bottom of a wooden spool with 4 nails in the top are the first projects that I remember. Through the years I have explored many mediums, one of them being fiber arts. Wanting to make buttons for my creations brought me to the wonderful world of polymer clay.
Creating with color is how I describe the process used in making unique wearable art jewelry. This durable manmade material is fairly new to the art world and provides endless possibilities. I can never seem to clean my workspace without getting distracted by a new technique or interesting color blend to try.
My work has been exhibited at galleries and fine craft shows nationwide. I've found my greatest inspiriation in teaching others. My students' intense desire to learn inspires me to continue to seek out new and exciting techniques and color stories."
